Recovery

Date night at Thiesmann's.

Spent most of the day at the hospital going through all the pre-op routines with hubby, who will be admitted next Wednesday for a week. Saw the anesthesiologist, had his blood drawn, reviewed the CT scans and discussed the procedure with a surgeon. He told me repeatedly I didn't have to go today. But I did. I had to go and am glad I did. Somehow I feel more reassured that all will go well, the tumor will be benign and we can move on with life.

Dealing with the girls and their wisdom tooth extraction this past week has been tough enough. The undercurrent of stress with hubby going in next week has been nearly unbearable. But I feel more peaceful now. I know it will be ok. When this month is over my family will all be whole and healed again and we will move on.

Recovery is starting even before we've completed the procedures. That must be a good thing.

Hope is fragile.
