And now for something completely different
Probably predictably didn't sleep well due to not finding any position comfortable and woke as stiff as a board with a knee that wouldn't bend and some added whiplash just for kicks. Carl headed to the farmicia and found me a very stylish crutch and some recommended pain killers and I am on a gradually improving trajectory. Needless to say there was no skiing this morning which was just as well as it was foggy and raining and with one of the telecabinas closed there were long queues all through town. Well so my medicine gatherer and ski taker backer reported. I obviously didn't travel further than to the car park.
Headed to the coast and arrived at our hotel and checked in before heading to one of our favourite beach restaurants for lunch. Afterwards a read and a nap for me, a small chill out for the kids and a trip to the pool for the three of them. Now we are sitting on our terrace awaiting our friends for a pre dinner drink before another meal on the beach and hopefully a big long sleep and a less broken body in the morning.
This is the backdrop. I am very happy to be at the beach having a tiny taster of the summer to come.

EDIT: the restaurant we planned to dine at was closed for winter so we randomly wandered into Ana Maria next door to our hotel and had an excellent meal with positively the nicest waiter in history. Well worth a return visit. Now heading to bed with a slightly noisy soundscape of the roaring winds.
