At The Going Down Of The Sun

Took this photo at the end of a wonderful day and the start of a wonderful night....
My builder arrived this morning so I headed out the door to leave him to it. Met a friend and went for lunch in the fashionable Yacht Bar on the Clontarf seafront. Recession my hat... Just about managed to get a table. Meal was very enjoyable and the company exquisite... On the way I collected a limited edition copy of a painting of one of my photos I had taken some months back... It's always, to me, an uplifting feeling when someone reproduces your work in a different format... I love it and never tire of it.
Went to Dublin to meet up with some friends and then to the Phoenix Park to watch the sun go down. Afterwards we went to the cinema but decided a muted three hours could be bettered so went to the airport and sat watching jets take off and land and where we could chat... Lou Reed wrote about today in his song Perfect Day.
Just a perfect day
drink Sangria in the park
And then later
when it gets dark, we go home
