Kilmadock Churchyard

The remains of the old church at Kilmadock are reached by walking the path alongside the River Teith opposite Deanston and just north of Doune. While little remains of the church the graveyard has a fascinating collection of memorial stones and some quite elaborate crypts. This family burial spot , bearing the name "Finlay" of Deanston House must have originally been quite grand, presumably befitting some local dignitary.
