Just Resting.

Our cat Ali is a bit of an intellectual, but after a heavy morning of crosswords and puzzles she just had to have a nap.

Today (day 14) I have been just resting as well. Not I hasten to add because I am still suffering from the walk of the other day. No I feel fine, however today was D day (D for District Nurse). She was due to arrive at some point during the day to remove the dressing and take the clips out of the wound. This meant that I couldn't stray as I didn't know when she would arrive.

Finally in the late afternoon she arrived, removed the dressing and pronounced that the clips were ready to come out. 28 (yes 28) little tweaks later and they were all out. She cleaned the sticky from round the wound and put a very light dressing on in case there was any leakage of blood from the holes left by the clips.

The good news was that I could take the dressing off this evening and have a shower. A proper very wet shower without worrying about how wet the dressing might get. It was wonderful!

So now I am dressing free and feeling as fit as a fiddle. OK I don't plan on running any marathons just yet but I am pain free and a happy man. Still a little bit of a sleeping problem to overcome but that is improving nightly.
