Blue Heron Returns

Lots of rain today, but this afternoon we had a break and I was able to get out for a short walk. Over on hole #9 I found the "huge blue heron" again...and watched him fishing and finally he flew off. Thought this was pretty with the little foot bridge between holes. The funniest thing was his landing almost right in front of the "fake coyotes" that have been strategically placed to scare off the Canada Geese. It doesn't work...the geese are still there, and obviously it doesn't scare the Blue Heron either. You can see those photos on my FLICKR page.

There was also some heavy pruning of many of the large bushy areas along the pond, as this is where the mallards make their nests. I feel sorry for the ducks...having their habitat disturbed.
