Morning Lighthouse

A big change in weather for the new week. Arnish lighthouse provides guidance into the natural shelter of Stornoway. In the distance the mainland hills lie brooding on the horizon.

It's frosty this morning, the first proper one of the winter and I nearly came a cropper on the ice. It was a toss up between this photo and one that I took of a rhododendron bud emerging from its frozen leaves. Nice idea, but I couldn't get the composition to work.
