Spring Rain
The daffodils literally burst out of the ground following last weekend's torrential downpours. It was as if the earth was waiting for a little water in order to change seasons. The only thing is, we seem to have gone from Summer to Spring with virtually no winter.
Yesterday we had gentle rains--enough to cause the daffodils to bow their heads, but not to beat them into the ground as sometimes happens when Spring comes prematurely. Today the skies are blue once again, giving the plum blossoms and the daffodils a chance to dry put .
Word has it that our missing "stacked pebbles" for our bathroom wall were being shipped to Santa Rosa on Friday. Delays and cancellations seem to be par for the course in renovations involving tile and plumbing fixtures. We're doing a face lift in the guest bathroom, due to the fact that we used it when ours was being remodeled. It didn't take long to discover that a stepladder is needed to reach the sink, which is set too far back in the counter. (And you never breathed a word to us, Lady F!) We have enough stone left over from our bathroom to redo the guest bath with a new counter and sinkWe'll probably replace the wooden floor as well, since wood and water aren't really friends.
OilMan continues to plaintively claim that ,"We're done with all the renovations now". Now about that hot tub....
