Daffodils and Rosemary

Another day of perfect weather here. It is supposed to start cooling down tomorrow, but I have to say that it will be a hard adjustment just as we are getting used to this beautiful springtime in February..

We learned at dinner last night that the shots we hear echoing around the hills here are not assassins or even poachers, but target practice by one of the property owners up the mountain from us. It is unsettling.

The murder of Egyptian Christians by terrorists is unspeakable. This mass murder serves only to impassion and enrage the rest of the world. How can such violence be met with compassion? Compassion and forgiveness are being ground beneath the heel of these barbaric believers in some tortured form of Muslim extremism. What evil will they turn to next? And what will the response be?
