Spring?

I couldn't be a vegetarian. It's not that I don't like vegetarian food; far from it. I actually love it. But, in the last few days I've seen Blips from Barbados, the Cape Verde Islands, Rwanda, Australia and New Zealand, all of which looked very hot and made me wish I was there. So what has that got to do with being, or not being, a vegetarian, I hear you ask? Well, today has been glorious, so we thought we'd make a meal which reminded us of hot weather and summer; Lamb Souvlaki, tsatsiki, houmous and tabbouleh. The lamb souvlaki? Five minutes to make a marinade, leave it a few hours then twelve minutes on the griddle. But the salads? Well, it's taken about five hours of peeling, chopping, salting, slicing and rinsing. Now, I'm not complaining; I love cooking, but in practical terms it's much easier to just slap a piece of meat on the barbie, isn't it? Anyway, like most Blippers I've also been out for a walk to enjoy the weather, and this is a ford just outside the village.
