Crazy Airport

I made one of my frequent trips to the airport this afternoon. I enjoy picking people up, rather than dropping off, because I get to go inside and see the madness that is airport travel (especially in Mexico), plus I get the chance to shop the magazine stand for English language periodicals (today, Vanity Fair and National Geographic Traveler). The waiting area outside of International Arrivals was absolutely nuts. I found out later when my friend came out that there were five planes on the tarmac which had all arrived within a half hour of each other. Each of those planes were filled with families heading to Mexico for a little sunshine. Because they are families rather than single travelers, they have tons of luggage and require lots of special attention. They also don't move very quickly and tend to back up right in the middle of the traffic lanes. Total chaos and great entertainment!
