Snowdrops at Cambo

Spoiled for a choice of blips today:-) Woke up to a couple of inches of snow on the ground - lots of photos of the garden looking lovely. The sun came out, so we decided to go out for lunch to Balgove Farm Shop near St Andrews, a favourite of ours. Highland cow with enormous horns in the field in front - lots of photos of him.

Then it was on to Cambo, famous for its display of snowdrops and the camera went into overdrive:-) So many lovely ones to choose from, but I decided on these because I've never seen them before. I tried to buy some at the shop, but they only ever have a few plants for sale and there were none left. Maybe next year!

Not content with all the flower shots, I also took some great ones of the wild and windy sea which the estate borders and then finally some beautiful sunsets on the way home. As ever - a feast or a famine:-)

PS I've just discovered they are called "Trumps" . We get the Daily Telegraph on a Saturday, but I never get round to reading the supplements until Sunday. There on the front cover of the Gardening supplement is a photo of this snowdrop and more info about it inside!!
