Missing Link(s)?

I'm almost sure this willow golfer had a club when he was first erected for the Ryder Cup last year:-)  He's been through the wars, having been blown over in the gales and covered in snow not so long ago, but has been put back on his feet again - for now!

Has it been a special day for metal detectorists?  They were out in force in the fields near us and I've never even seen one of them there before!  They were still there when we returned two hours later, so don't think they'd found anything exciting:-)
