It's too close now!

In the early hours of the morning we were woken by what sounded like sand and rocks being thrown against our window, extremely high winds and then this morning all was quiet. Too quiet! We live off the main London to Eastbourne road which had been closed as a number of large trees had come down, complete with power lines.
This isn't the first time it's happened and won't be the last but never before have we ended up on the BBC main headlines!
Tomorrow the storm factory that has been hitting this troubled isle is predicted to end. Instead, they've said, we will just gave rain instead!
PS No one was hurt but tempers were severely frayed with the ridiculous detour where cars lorries and buses were taken down tiny flooded country lanes complete with cyclists and horse riders. The word chaos best describes it
