River in Snow

I return today to the river. When I headed of to University this morning I headed down and drove along the road that runs parallel and for many miles directly adjacent to our river. I love to see her but this morning all I saw was driving sleet sweeping down her and so much so the North shore was invisible to me.

As a passed my friends parents I do, as I always do and look over and smile as I think of them I actually had one of our playlists on and laughed to myself as she refers to me going to uni as "going to school" it is these little comments that bouy my spirits and lift me I meandered on heading for the city that I loathe so much as if the gentle pace would somehow soften the blow of having to spend and second Saturday in that place!!!

The day improved as it went on and sitting in lectures and a workshop and a tutorial seemed to me to be a total waste of a beautiful afternoon to walk. When we finished I charged down the motorway and dumped the car as I walked briskly a short distance along our foreshore walk to shoot the rolling cloud and hills topped out on a white coat of snow.

The little blue sky a contrast to the anger of the morning but with more snow forecast the clouds look ominous as the roll over out coast. I hope you are safe tonight, warm from the storms and I hope you enjoy our river looking resplendent.. best in large I venture
