More Presents :-) Xxxx
I love Thursdays...I don't set my alarm, and this morning woke before Eva (which is pretty usual), got myself showered and dressed, then went into my baby girl just as she was stirring at around 8.30am. As usual, I was greeted with a lovely big smile and Eva bouncing on her bottom in her cot, with her arms also going ten to the dozen. Love it.
We leisurely get ready, no rushing, she has lots of milk, we sing songs, or more like I sing songs and Eva does her new lip syncing, we play with her teddies and then eventually, go downstairs for breakfast.
This morning, with being at home, it was finally time to open the rest of Eva's Birthday presents. Each night after nursery, she'd just been too tired. Besides, it had been great opening a few each day. Eva had been well and truly spoilt by everybody, we have such thoughtful friends and family. Apart from all the beautiful birthday cards that will go in her memory box, she's had sooo many presents. It's been so lovely.
Today, she opened... A gorgeous outfit from Anna and Luke, Lisa Bullard (aswell as some lovely books about things like sharing, manners etc) Dougie and Michelle, and Aunty Vikki. She had a fantastic tunnel, a bath book off Louise and £10 off little Rhys for her money box. She absolutely loved the tunnel when I got it out this afternoon, the cats were running through it too, it was very funny. She didn't want to come out of it lol. She also opened today a play cube off Emily, an activity board for her cot off Aunty Sue and Bebe which she loves!! She also opened a butterfly shape stacker and little wooden train set off Vic and Evan which she is going to love. There was a birthday card off her Great Grandad Birch too, with £30 inside and a wonderful, heartfelt message. It actually got me quite choked as it said things like "God bless you on your first birthday of your life" and that he hopes she has a "wonderful, long, bonny life", I rang Grandad straight away to say a big thank you and tell him we love him.
Eva was just in her element either side of her mammoth sleep. Then when Mike got home, she opened her presents from us.. A baby walker, a new Igglepiggle snuggle blanket, a light up underwater jellyfish toy for bath time that flashes and lights up under water, a V Tech toy phone a bit like an iPhone and 2 books... Where's Spot? because she loves opening the flaps on books, and a pop up version of a lovely book she was first read to at her first ever stay and play, where she sat on the mat listening so intently, and it was Owl Babies.
I have been on cloud 3 million and 9 over the last few days celebrating our darling daughter's very 1st birthday and it's wonderful to see her so happy. Xxxxx
