Love Always

Ok, here's the requisite Valentine's blip. Today, as it's been for most years, my Valentine is myself. Hey, if you want to really love someone, you must first love yourself, right? :)

My roommate & I will most likely drive down to our hometown tonight. The sun is out and melting the snow. I actually needed shades going out this morning, it was so bright outside from the reflection off the snow. Either that or we've just been shrouded in darkness for so long.

It's a good time to leave, especially since I evicted my roommate with a short timeline to move out, and tensions are still high in the house. After our conversation yesterday, she promptly left to... wait-for-it... go out drinking. Again.

Turns out she had gone out with her friend and her boyfriend and they ran into him and his roommate. To add more to the strange happenings, her friend's boyfriend also happens to live directly below him! While I was out trying not to get arrested in the city, they were all hanging out, playing games at his house.

And where was his girlfriend all this time, since they spent the last snow day together? At home, he said. Hmm, I wonder how she would feel if she found out he had his ex-girlfriend over at his place for a drunken snow day soirée? That doesn't sound like the behavior of a guy who is "fully committed" to his girlfriend.

Then again, we're all kind of skeptical that she even exists. He dodges any question about her or gives vague answers. Well, he may be in a relationship or he's got us fooled.

Well, this fool (me) is in love. In love with me, loving love. Happy Valentine's, to me! :)
