Tree Fellers!

Today was a great day, after years of asking the huge spruce tree that has always overshadowed my cottage - you can see my chimney pots - was finally felled.

I lay in bed last night with the wind howling, thinking how ironic it would be if it fell on me!!

If you look carefully, you can see the 3rd member of the team up the tree, taking off the lower branches and ivy, before it fell, thankfully, away from my cottage.

Better still with another tree - a rotten sycamore - also felled I have enough wood to keep the fire burning next winter!
