Getting home

We landed in Heathrow early this morning and, as soon as we stepped outside, realised just how cold it was. However, we were fortunate that we were driving home on a fine day, a break apparently from the awful weather that has been happening and is supposed to continue.

So, blue skies and dry . . .

. . . until we were further north when we saw the clouds gathering and becoming heavy and knew that snow was forecast. So here we are on the M62, not a route we normally take to cross the Pennines, but the A66 is so much higher and we dare not risk it.

So, we are home and have had a lovely time in the sun. We like South Africa and I hope through my blips you can see why. We are already planning our next trip!

Thank you to everyone who has been following me, it has been great to have you along and I have really appreciated your comments. The last few days whilst travelling have been difficult in terms of time and access to Wi-Fi, but now I will catch up with everyone properly.
