Leith Street at Night

I was in Edinburgh this afternoon but having spent most of the afternoon at the cinema I needed to do a night time blip. The film I saw. 12 Years a Slave is well worth seeing and lives up to the hype even if it is a bit gruesome at times.

I decided to have another shot at capturing a light trail image from the pedestrian bridge over Leith Street. I have taken one previously looking toward the Balmoral Hotel and I intended to take one looking the other way. I took several shots at a time when the sky was still dark blue but compositionally none of them really worked for me so I resorted to taking a few more shots looking toward the Balmoral but on this occasion I included the superstructure of the bridge and there was the added interest of Calton Road, snaking away to the left.
