Eastern Promise

Just come home from a meeting of the Scottish Ornithological Society. The speaker was a retired sound recordist who gave a presentation called 'From Sea to Summit - a Celebration of Scotland' s flora and fauna '. Wonderful photographs.

The weather coming home was atrocious and as I sit writing this, I can hear the wind roaring in the trees outside. It has rained all day long, and today was the first day this year when I haven't been on a walk or cycle. Instead, Sarah and I watched 'Gosford Park' All the way through this afternoon which was very indulgent.

At least we had a nice sunrise this morning, even if it was a warning rather than a promise..
