A two deer day

I finished my stairwalking this morning and was headed down the trail when I sensed something large nearby. Turning my head to the right, I saw this big dude, staring at me. I didn't know whether to blip or run; he was that close. But I couldn't pass up the opportunity, so I blipped and blipped again.

This afternoon I returned to the park to do some more stairwalking, and a pretty little doe was nibbling on some corn kernals right next to the trail. She must have been enjoying the unexpected treat because she didn't move away as I got closer and closer. Finally I was close enough to blip this picture. She didn't leave until some other walkers came down the trail from the opposite direction. Some days I don't see any deer, but today I was practically falling over them.

Goodnight from the North coast of Ohio. It has been a chilly, but beautiful, day here along the Lake.
