Porty People and Places

A purple patch ....

I have been away from Porty for just five weeks and in that time there have been a number of refurbishments underway along the High Street. This one intrigued me as it is a massive makeover for one of the run down Porty Public Houses - of which there are a surprising number. It will be good to see the finished project when I return from my Doha project at the end of June. ( Maybe even have a wee pint of heavy here?!)

Today is Qatar's National Sports Day and the day on which Qatar also signed a charter to guarantee the employment rights and conditions of the armies of migrant construction workers involved in all the FIFIA 2020 building projects.
