Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 166

Low tide this morning. I love the way that it exposes these old wooden footings to a jetty that used to enable the day trippers to get onto the paddle steamers that plied the Forth.

At the vanishing point between the posts you may just make out the Monday morning "dookers" - it was really cold this morning despite the sunshine and the thought of swimming today made me feel even colder!

It was a busy day for tankers today with nine in view and two enforcing craft "Fort Austin" on Military Ops and and "Minna" on Fisheries Patrol.
