Stuffed Jalapeños

There are many, many places to eat here in Zihuatanejo (at one time, the estimate was over 600) and we enjoy eating at many of them. There is, however, no substitute for good home cooking, especially when that is undertaken by friends, who are excellent cooks, and all one does is show up and consume.

Tonight was one of those occasions, our good friends from Toronto invited us to their third floor apartment for drinks and dinner. A fabulous dinner it was, starting with these stuffed jalapeño peppers (no, not the ones I photographed the other day) and ending with a delicious paella, full of fresh ingredients from our local mercado. When we were done overeating, we got to leave the dirty dishes and stumble home to watch the Olympics before collapsing into bed.
