Water Dog

Pues, the dog at the top of this photo, is owned by one of the locals who plays volleyball with us on Playa La Ropa. They show up just about everyday. While his owner is sweating it out on the court, Pues can typically be found playing in the ocean. One of the many players waiting to challenge will kindly throw whatever is handy, coconuts, sticks, rocks, plastic water bottles, into the waves for Pues to retrieve. He is fearless, crashing into waves of all sizes without hesitation, intent on finding the object just thrown. Pues rarely seems to tire and the game will last for as long as someone is available to throw.
