Patience is the Name of the Game

For several of these technical challenges, including this one; week 2 of the technique challenge - Slow Sync Flash. and DDW's alphabet challenge - J is for Jack of Hearts.

Used the compact camera for this one and tried it on both the slow sync flash settings and night portrait settings. Results seemed to be very similar, but you could not control ISO or aperture in the night portrait mode, so it wasn't as flexible. Simply kept moving the Jack of Hearts backwards and forwards from the deck to the table until I got a shot that captured it at the right place and going in the right direction. About 20 shots in all, which is a lot less hit and miss than the water drop challenge.

In other news, a little progress in the cloakroom. New door frame for the cupboard is in place. All afternoon/evening was spent at the sister in laws teaching her how to list items for sale on Amazon and eBay. Got dinner as a reward. Can't be bad.
