After the sandstorm
The expanse of golden beach
Offers a playground
For the wind.
Faces are covered against
Speeding showers of sand
That populate eyes, hair, mouths and clothes.
The wind drops
He faces into it.
Sand spills out at home.
Minnis Bay's sandstorm was extraordinary - much stronger than Margate's yesterday. It had dropped when I took this but I hope you can still see the drifts of sand across the empty beach as my hubby Tom strides forth. A glorious day, with lunch at The Minnis, the beach restaurant where we had our wedding reception.
