It's turned out nice again

Another day spent in the car driving home, but before we left I asked Alan to take me to Warrington Cemetery where George Formby is buried. I've been meaning to go and see his grave for some time and we managed to find it quite easily.

Born in 1904, he was a British comedy actor, singer-songwriter and comedian who played the Ukulele, and was a major star of the stage and screen in the 1930's and 40's. His most famous song was 'When I'm Cleaning Windows' and his famous catch phrase was It's turned out nice again. When he died in 1961, his funeral was carried out in Aigburth, Liverpool and 100,000 people lined the streets as his coffin was driven to Warrington Cemetery to be buried in the family grave.

Anyway, blip done, we called at Alan's parents to collect Louis and then we nipped into St Helen's to pick up my belated birthday present before heading home. Alan ordered me a ring just before Christmas from Pandora in Brighton and they still haven't received it, but luckily they had one in stock in St Helens.

We had a good journey and although it was windy and rainy this morning we drove through a mixture of sunshine and showers, and it 'turned out nice again' by the time we got home :-) We've unpacked and are now watching the winter olympics before I start the dinner. Hope you're having a good evening!
