The Sound

The weatherman promised us quite a good day today so we set off with the intention of going to Yesnaby. However rain showers saw us turn back. It is a bonus that the wind has slackened off.

This is overloooking Clestrain Sound. The lighthouse is Hoy High (on the Island of Graemsay) and the Hoy Hills are in the background.

CMC is just making a fresh batch of buns to have with our coffee in the siterooterie.

Last night I cooked beef with juniper berries, all spice and onions with white wine and cream (sloowly for 45 minutes). Served it with glazed carrotes and rosti potatoes. She said she wants to discuss my efforts. This sounds ominous.
