Cross patch

Cross patch is what my Mum calls a tetchy child. Well, I had one of those on my hands today. Was a bit gutted as was so looking forward to a day at home with her after London yesterday. But she was hard work sadly, crying at the slightest thing - always a sure sign that she's overtired.

Had a lovely lunch with Laura and Sam at The Buddhist Centre on High Lane. It has a cafe in there and I'd never been but it was a wonderful place. Lovely people running it and had a lovely spinach dhal with bhajis for lunch. Just about kept Audrey going with her lunch, rice cakes and Peppa on the iPad (yes, we are those parents now - eating out is impossible otherwise).

Had to convince her she needed a nap today. It took her about half an hour to settle. Then baked some muffins while she slept. I think I needed the break more than she did today! Put me feet up with a freshly baked muffin and a cuppa in my new teapot (pictured).

The afternoon consisted of rainy day play - a teddies tea party, colouring, stickers, playdoh and tower stacking. Gosh how my life has changed!
