Frozen cheeks
That's what you'd get if you were sitting waiting here for the bus to arrive this morning! It was about 5 below when I went down for the newspaper. It's another beautiful sunny day though, perfect for a walk this afternoon when it's warmed up a bit.
I took this shot from the same spot 2 days ago. It's rare to see this much ice. It's disappeared, probably because of the tide and the fresh water from the creek coming into the harbour. I don't know if that is the reason because it hasn't warmed up any! Snow is forecast for tomorrow night. I wouldn't mind getting a few inches so we can get out the cross country skis and have a little ski around the place. Mount Washington, where we went skiing in January 2013, has closed down because of lack of snow. Another sign that we really need more winter weather, snow on the mountains and rain here.
