Time for some trim
Back to the grind today and it's probably time to do the trim. Got the floor down the other day so I could get baseboards (skirting board) done, then started on the chair rail in the reception room, lounge and dining room.
Doing the chair rail a little differently this time, so instead of a continuous rail around the room, the rail will stop short of other moldings and end with a small return piece. I'll do a close up another time of what I mean.
To say that this is easier than edge to edge is an understatement. I can cut the lengths to a tolerance of around 1/8" and as long as no one checks my gaps no one will notice and it should look consistent. Much easier than going from edge to edge where the cut length has to be perfect and takes me 3 goes.
Pity none of the walls aren't straight though. Bit of a bummer but nothing the nail gun didn't sort out.
Got nearly all of it done but got caught out with the long saga of a crachhead couple who owe me some rent and are laying low as their dope dealer wants paying.
