Snapshots of rural France

By SuzB

Lovely morning...

...after a windy stormy night, but nothing like what the folks on the western coast and uk coasts have suffered. The morning broke bright and sunny, and has stayed bright and not too cold.

I spent the morning in the company of a lovely french lady who was surprisingly older than I had thought. I have taken on her mother's property to sell. Talking to her was fascinating. She had 3 of her 5 children in the late 60's and early 70's in Saigon, Vietnam, as her husband was a doctor out there. When I asked her was it a frightening place to be, she said, actually because they knew what they were dealing with they coped well. She is a fascinating lady with a great interest in art and photography. It was nice to see a lady who has just turned 80 had her laptop set up in the dining room and was obviously busy with lots of things going on in her life. Her 5 children live in the many corners of France, and they all have to sign my paperwork, so it will be a while before the house is marketed, but it's a little (actually not so little!) bargain. I have had a play with one particular image which I think nicely summed up the vintage nature of the interior of the home which you can see here

This week I have finally (I think) found my feet back at work, feeling less tired in the evenings Wednesday and Thursday especially which was good. I am planning some more prospecting as my confidence has grown too. I am also looking forward to some time to myself this weekend!

Happy Friday!
