Mangled Mess

Came across this wrecking machine on the afternoon dog walk. I really hate the brutal mess they make of the hedges - it makes me wince to see those torn trailing stubs of branches.

An added unfortunate consequence of cutting them today has been to turn the soggy but mostly grassy path by the zoo into a mud slide...and more rain is predicted. Boo.
