Still no blooming fishin!

Took this from the comfort of a shop window...he he!
Two hours after High Water and still waves breaking over the breakwater!
Sadly under this onslaught, the breakwater is starting to suffer with a line of huge granite edging stones along the seaward side being dislodged and flung aside!
These would each weight I imagine several tons and will have to be wriggled back into position as soon as the weather improves.
There will be a great deal of repairing to do around the Guernsey coast soon and all around the UK South coast too of course!
At least today we have powerful machines to help...when this breakwater was built they had only men, horses, ropes and timber to position the huge stones!
