Thundery Sky

Well, we don't have rain, hail or snow but we do have wind!
At the harbour entrance you will see a smallish freight ship, it is called "Huelin Dispatch" LINK and it is continuously plying between UK, Guernsey, Jersey and I believe Alderney.
It is out in all weathers and I feel for her small crew who seem to work for weeks on end!
She has a single engine and screw (Propellor) so has to manoeuvre very carefully and today the wind was gusting force 9 North'ish so, it was gusting very strongly from the left of the picture and hence quite challenging for the master and he may only get one shot at it!
In the foreground, the visitors yacht pontoons, all serviced, lined up and ready for the season. In the summer, these pontoons are stacked several deep with very expensive yachts waiting for the tide, to enter the visitors' (Victoria) marina!
Soon it will all be hustle and bustle and I guess a good income for Guernsey States!
So, overall we have had quite a nice day...hope you did too!
