ice storm

today our area got hit with storm #2 for the week. the first storm brought about 8 inches of snow. today's storm brought ice and power outages. we lost power for a few hours during the night but woke up with power restored and we were fine the rest of the day. most of the townships around us were not as fortunate. all the schools were closed and the kids spent the day catching up on homework, watching movies and listening to the sound of ice falling from the trees. on my way to the mailbox, i took a quick snapshot of the tree in our front yard. hope and pray everyone will be safe :)
