Heaven on the Beach

Enjoyable day at the Library of Birmingham today for the launch of the CILIP West Midlands Member Network (merger of the West Midlands branch and the West Midlands division of the Career Development Group).

The theme was change which was particularly pertinent. I enjoyed the presentations, got positive feedback on my own, and found a potential mentee (I've recently registered as a mentor) so a good day in all. I was also really pleased to hear about some of the future member benefits from CILIP.

After the event was the annual dinner for the CDG West Midlands group, which I always really enjoy. We had a lovely meal at Le Truc (and I was even treated to gluten free toast whilst everyone else tucked into their bread!). Before then we went for a drink and I had this delightful concoction, Heaven on the Beach, which is similar to Sex on the Beach but with added cherry liqueur and passion fruit. Delicious!
