Liverpool Central Library
On a wet and windy day, I was delighted to shelter for a time in the newly redeveloped library. I loved the building, from its literary entrance and well-used study areas to some dizzying perspectives and the beautifully integrated Picton Reading Room.
Other highlights of the day were Heap's Rice Mill, the majestic Anglican Cathedral, some smart Georgian Houses on Hope Street, the fascinating modern (and very welcoming) Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral, the very grand Lime Street Station just across the Street from St George's Hall.
There were also various educational establishments.
