Is this real?

There is no doubt about it, nature has a way of confounding us with its creation.
Next to the rose, I think that the Bromeliad must be one of the most colourful of flowers.
This particular one is featured in my neighbour's home nearby nearly obscured by other vegetation.
I find it hard to comprehend the makeup of this flower, from the thorn edged petals to the blue sub blooms within the main composition.

One of the most interesting I have seen.
