Another corner of Midhurst ....

The Wheatsheaf, Rumbolds Hill, Midhurst, a very popular pub. The building dates back to 1621. Part of the pub, now the function room, used to be the Squire's Chapel of the Catholic church next door. You can see the empty bell tower of this rather dour looking building. Next to that at the far right of the picture, you can just see the familiar yellow paintwork of a Cowdray Estate owned property.

On the left is some typical Sussex tile hanging. This used to be a china shop, and rather than a bull, a passing cow once walked into this shop! This leads down to Wool Lane, with it's lovely cottages and their old overhanging jetties.
