Aftermath of the storms

Over the weekend there was a loud cracking sound out the front of our house and the top of the Scots Pine on the verge opposite had broken off.

It was hanging rather precariously over a footpath and the place where Jane parks her car so a call to the County Council resulted in some tree surgeons turning up to make it safe.

Its not so pretty now but I expect it will grow back. We got several barrow-loads of logs as a result
