...Bowl, the Super Bowl!

Super Bowl XLVIII was a football game played today between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion Denver Broncos and National Football Conference (NFC) champion Seattle Seahawks. It was held today at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. This was the first Super Bowl played outdoors in a cold-weather city and the first played outdoors on artificial turf since Super Bowl X at the Miami Orange Bowl.

The Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII, defeating the Denver Broncos 43–8, the largest point differential since Super Bowl XXVII. This was Seattle's first Super Bowl win in franchise history. Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith, who scored on a 69-yard interception return for a touchdown, recorded a fumble recovery and nine tackles, was named the game's most valuable player.

We got together as a family to watch the game, though it was disappointing to not have a closer game. Those "nail biters" are just so much more fun to watch.

I chose the wildcard for the technique challenge. I added a threshold adjustment layer in photoshop to turn it into a two-color photo. All the pixels below the threshold level are black and those above, white.
