Technique Challenge - Week 1 - Water splash/water drops

So, this took a little longer than expected. First of all, my tripod head kept slipping - off to the internet to find that there's a tiny little nut(?) that can be tightened using an allen key. Hurrah for Ikea, I had one left over that fit. It immediately went into my camera bag. I played around with different background - blackvelvet, cardboard (for a smooth coloured background) but the one that I ended up liking best was this scarf.

Using a freezer bag with a pinhole in it (hand held - can't say I wasn't determined) I started dripping water - and more than once accidentally spilling everywhere. Towel on hand, nothinggot damaged, luckily. I'm very impressed with the recycle on my speedlite - first time I've put it to more than basic flash and it was really rather impressive - I was on low power so that could explain it. A million shots later I finally got one that I was happy with.
