Bu Farm, Orphir

The Bu farm is lived in by Jimmy Stevenson but mainly run by his son Douglas. Jimmy has an interest in wildlife and good knowledge too. There's usually something going on at the Bu. The Bu was mentioned in 1136 in the Orkneyinga Saga, owned then by Earl Paul.

We turned our back on the sea today and walked up past the Bu Gyre Farm and then down the brae back home.

We then went through to see Phyllis in Stromness; unfortunately she is struggling again and has had to resort to her zimmer to aid her mobility - however she was cheery enough.

Bought a Sunday paper for the first time in six months. An afternoon of reading in front of the fire beckons - then a spot of light dancing tonight.

Reeived a telephone invite to a March party in Findhorn; what more can a man ask ?
