How old???

I'm not sure whether I'm having a mid life crisis or just never matured in the first place. Today I went to buy a new phone cover for my new phone. After the gentleman showed me the full array of pink, sparkly, leatherette and classic cases I chose this one. The man eye balled me and said in a loaded tone "this one?" I inferred that he felt I was at least 25 years too old for this cover. "Yes" I said defiantly. Then backed it up with "I have a big handbag. I need to be able to find it quickly". He continued to stare at me and asked if I would like to "try it on". I declined, gave him the required amount and ran away!

This evening I went for a meal with mr mc (first time in over a year) and had to order from the children's menu because I am soooo fussy. The waitress asked with a straight face whether I would like a spoon. The man at the next table offered me a bib. Mr mc thought he'd join in and asked whether I get an ice cream and juice included with my meal.....
