" THE DAY THAT THE RAIN CAME DOWN "
There'a a Place for Us - West Side Story. This was the scene from the Cross Country train from Taunton to Bristol Temple Meads. Slightly blurred as the train was travelling around 100 miles/hour. I was surprised it came out at all. You can see quite clearly that the signals are in the water. On the other side was a similar scene - water. The train track was only inches higher than the water and I'm amazed its still in operation. Another few hours of continuous rain and it will submerge the track. Never, have I seen this amount of water.
My heart goes out to all the people who are suffering in this county and beyond. And you never get rid of the damp smell.
Be thankfull for being dry!!
The show was brilliant. Matthew sat spellbound from start to finish. The choreography was exceptional, orchestra, first class and most of the singing was exceptional. If it comes to a theatre near you, I urge you to see it. I'd promised myself I wasn't going to cry at the end but I did of course. I asked Mr A if my eye makeup was in a mess to which he replied No. But when I went to the loo before taxiing back to the station, I was horrified. Looked like I'd had my head in a bucket of water, with mascarra on my cheeks!!
The train was on time, we collected Phoebe from our friend Sue and have all chilled out this evening. Matthew has thoroughly enjoyed his day but now looking forward to a lie in tomorrow.
Thankyou for all your comments on yesterdays snowdrops. Most kind. Hope your Saturday has been super and that tomorrow will be even better.
Sending hugs and well wishes - and thankyou for being patient with me:)) x
