Parkrun

I occasionally go along for the Cardiff Parkrun. In case you don't know about Parkrun, they're held all over the country, every Saturday at 9am, and are completely free. You do a 5K loop and get a time at the end. You just sign up, get a barcode you take along and then the upload the results to the website later. In a cynical, exploitative world the Parkrun is a thing of goodness. There are about 600 people who turn up for the Cardiff one every week. I seem to have started slowly this year (the website helpfully keeps track of your PB) and got progressively worse. My time was rubbish again today, a long way to go before I get back to last year's times. But it's nice to get out, do a quick race and be home by 10.
