And night shift wasn't so bad after all...

A MET call at handover was followed by a couple of potential ICU transfers, and there went the night shift. Crawled home to bed and slept through the storms of the morning and early afternoon.

The rain stopped, and so J and I went to Riverland tonight to catch up with some old friends for beers and bratwurst. Timed our exit perfectly, snapping this shot on the way out, walking home through the lightning and making it inside approximately three minutes before the rain started. Spectacular night.

Now, if I can just work out how to get Monday off, it'll be a four day long weekend...
